True Love
John 3:16–17 NKJV “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
God’s Love is True Love and that’s the foundation for strong faith and good works, so many people believe and therefor rely on there love for the Lord to be the catalyst to please God and walk in His Favor, but let’s remember that anything that is dependent on our efforts is on a shaky foundation, because no matter how “good” a Christian we think we are, our love for the Lord will fail.
But His Love always remains true and steadfast and that’s what qualifies you for God’s blessings and favor.
That is precisely why God sent His Son, He knew that man would never be able to fulfill all His commands, so in sending His Son he shares with us the beautiful love story we call the gospel of Jesus Christ.
So today even when your love for Him wavers, even when we fail, His Love still abounds towards us and that’s what builds our Faith to keep trusting, looking to Him for everything you need and doing good.
Our love for God is still important, it’s a powerful expression of our gratefulness towards Him but it’s always a response to what He has already done in us, remember the Bible declares that “the steadfast love of the Lord never ceases” (Lam. 3:22 ESV).
We do live under the new covenant of God’s amazing grace, where we can depend on His unconditional, unchanging, and irrevocable love for you!
