Rhythms of Grace – A time as this

A time as this

Esther 4:14 NKJV “For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?””

If we look at the book of Esther. The scripture say “ for such a time as this”

This is the time to view the book of Esther as a type of church where the gentiles and Jews come together. The voice of the Holy Spirit orchestrated events for the Jews to be saved under the king Artaxerxes  of Persia rule. Persia is Iran of today, this is the only time ever before where Muslims and Jews were on friendly terms.

As Esther called for a fast that “Hamman should fall. “ Mordecai was Esther’s helper and gets recognised by the King.

Once it was decreed that Hamman  be executed. Mordecai is promoted.

Esther, so beautiful found ‘favor with the king’. We as the church too are beautiful in Gods eyes and we need to recognise that we too have Favor with our King. And a bride  to be readied for Him.  Mordecai a type of The Holy Spirit is the one spoken of where in the end of the book of Joel, God pours out His Spirit upon us. With Esther the Holy Spirit( Mordecai)  helped her at a very difficult time. We too have supernatural help in difficult times. We are made for a time such as this.

And we have the Holy Spirit to guide and help us with prayer and fasting as Esther called for a fast.
