STAND FIRM LITTLE BY LITTLE

Joshua 3:17 NKJV “Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and ALL Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.“

Stand Firm

Dry Ground

All of Israel can’t completely.

Exodus 23:30-31 NKJV ”Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased, and you inherit the land. And I will set your bounds… “I will set the boundaries”

  • We are talking about standing Firm in Faith and today I want to come from the perspective of it’s Little by Little!

Joyce Meyer shares in her book Battlefield of the Mind that looking back on her life, she realises as many of us do, that God held her hand and let her move forward in small steps.

There were times she was deeply discouraged and cried many tears, even bitter tears over her personal failures.

But no matter what, God kept nudging me forward. JUST SAY: We are moving FORWARD….

  • Herein is the secret of living the victorious Christian life—we grow our Faith move ahead little by little.
  • It’s an inching forward over months and years, this holds true when we are in a battle in our minds or a circumstance or taking on a new challenge.
  • God can and does give us Swift Big Victories but we don’t oust Satan in one big blow every single time, sometimes we literally just need to keep taking the next step.

This we are going to build our FAITH one small battle at a time!

God has a wonderful plan for our Church and for each of us, but it’s gonna take FAITH!

Hebrews 10:22-25 KJV “let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) and let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

  1. True heart in full assurance of faith:-

Full Assurance Plèrophoria:- firm conviction or persuasion / To show strong conviction, to carry out fully to the end!

  1. Without wavering:-

To not let something decline

To remain FIRM and FIXED or UNMOVED

  1. Our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water:-

This is 100% talking about sanctification, letting go of the COMMON things, so we can EMBRACE the “special thing” He has layed up for us! (Example of the swimming pool cleaning my pool, the next morning it’s sparkling and easier to maintain, if I didn’t clean it today, it becomes more difficult and time consuming tomorrow)!

SO:Consecrate to Conquer

  1. And let us consider one another:-

Let’s do this together in UNITY

Here is a simple formula to help you get started on the road to STANDING FIRM IN FAITH that will begin to produces results.

HEAR IT

Romans 10:17 NKJV “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

Take time daily and dig into the Word of God. Study, Meditate and listening to what God is saying through His Word to you:-

  1. We cannot understand or get to know God by our feelings, way to many of us our controlled by and let our feelings control us
  2. I get to know God and understand Him by reading and studying who the Bible says He is!

Choose today the you will Believe the WORD for yourself!

There are two words that describe the Bible (The Word of God)

  1. LOGOS-written (recorded and written as and by the Holy Ghost)
  2. RHEMA-spoken or revealed (individually, collectively but specifically) (a pouring forth) herein lies the simplicity and power of PREACHING & TEACHING….

If we truly want to walk in FAITH, the WORD must be our highest PRIORITY and our number 1 AUTHORITY! When we TRUST God with all our heart (spirit) there is a quietness and a peace that come into our Spirit!

SAY IT

I Samuel 4:3-4 NKJV ”And when the people had come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, “Why has the Lord defeated us today before the Philistines? Let us bring the ark of the covenant of the Lord from Shiloh to us, that when it comes among us it may save us from the hand of our enemies.”

So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from there the ark of the covenant of the Lord of hosts, who dwells between the cherubim. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the covenant of God.

I Samuel 4:5 NKJVAnd when the ark of the covenant of the Lord came into the camp, all Israel shouted so loudly that the earth shook.“

THEY HAD A LOUD SHOUT BUY NO CLOUT!

Mark 11:22-24 NKJV “So Jesus answered and said to them, “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.”

JUST as the Bible is God’s “Word” and carries power, HIS WORD in our mouths have power.

SO take time to start remembering (memorising) & then confessing and declaring the Words of Jesus over your life and to your circumstances.

DO IT

James 2:14-19 NKJV “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble!”

Remember actions follow words, so “Your actions” either defeat you, or they activate your victory”

James 1:20-24 speaks about been DOERS of the Word

Hebrews 4:1-8 speaks about the word never profited them not been MIXED with FAITH

RECEIVE IT

Mark 5:29-30 NKJV “Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction. And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?””

– FEELING & HEALING always follow BELIEVING, SAYING & ACTING.

– Believe you have received what you asked for even when it doesn’t feel or look like anything is happening.

– BEGIN TO CREATE AN IMAGE (SEE) OF THIS NEW DEVELOPMENT WHICH IS THAT 2ND FAITH WORD (Elpis: to anticipate something with pleasure, be expectant and confident)

TELL IT

Mark 5:32-34 NKJV “And He looked around to see her who had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and trembling, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well. Go in peace, and be healed of your affliction.””

No

– There is Power in your Testimony, it confirms what you believe and therefore cements your victory and helps other people’s faith get stronger.

Psalm 28:7 NKJV ”The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart greatly rejoices, And with my song I will praise Him.“
