7 places Jesus where shed his blood:
In 1 Timothy 2:4 it says that God desires for everyone to be saved and to Understand the Truth (Not just know but understand)
Every drop of blood that Jesus shed had a specific purpose: the fullness of my redemption.
The Lord gave His all for us so that we could freely come to Him. He shed His blood in seven different ways, each with a specific purpose:
1. The Blood of Faithfulness :- The blood shed from the brow of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane. 2. The Blood of Identity :- The blood shed from the face of Jesus when His beard was ripped out.
3. The Blood of Redemption :- the blood shed from the back of Jesus when He was whipped 39 times.
The stripes on Jesus’ back won back my complete redemption including “shalom peace” & health.
Matthew 27:26 NKJV “Then released he Barabbas unto them: and when he had scourged Jesus, he delivered him to be crucified.”
The Blood was shed from His back. Before being crucified, Jesus was whipped thirty-nine times with a Roman whip. Each strand was weighted with metal and sharp bone, which tore His skin apart until the inner parts of His body could be seen.
The prophet Isaiah shed light on what God had in mind when He allowed this to happen:
Isaiah 53:4-5 NKJV “Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted. But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.“
Because of the wounds He bore on His back, Jesus is now able to give us healing from every sick-ness, and freedom from all our iniquities. No matter the scale or seriousness of these things, we can be set free and live in complete health because of His sacrifice.
4. The Blood of Conquest :- the blood shed from the head of Jesus when the crown of thorns pierced His skin.
Blood was shed because of the crown of thorns. A crown made of thorns was forced onto Jesus’ head (Matthew 27:29- 30). The thorns easily pierced His brow, causing incessant bleeding as the soldiers struck Him repeatedly with a staff. That blood redeems us from the curse that was upon the earth because of Adam’s sin (Genesis 3:17) and allows us to live in blessing and prosperity.
Mathew 27:29-30 NKJV “And when they had platted a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a reed in his right hand: and they bowed the knee before him, and mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews! And they spit upon him, and took the reed, and smote him on the head.”
John 10:10 NKJV “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”
III John 1:2 NKJV “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” Jesus crown of thorns won back my ability to live in victory and enjoy the God kind of abundance, prosperity & success.
5. The Blood of Productivity :- the blood shed from the hands of Jesus when nailed to the cross.
Psalm 22:16 NKJV “For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. Jesus pierced hands won dominion over what you touch and whatever you put your hands to will prosper and you will overcome and be productive.
Blood was shed from His hands. Stripping Jesus completely of al His clothes, they nailed Him to the cross. They ran sharp nails through each of His hands. During His years in the min- istry, the Lord had performed innumerable miracles with His hands, He had worked tirelessly to demonstrate the kingdom of heaven on earth, and He had released the power of God upon humanity. Our heavenly Father longs to do the same through the hands of each one of His children. That was why He allowed the merciful and diligent hands of Jesus to be pierced – so that His blood could redeem our hands from ev- ery evil act and activate both our hands and our lives in the gifts of the Holy Spirit, through which the glory of God is demonstrated on the earth.
Mark 16:16-18 NKJV ”He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does not believe will be condemned. And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”“
Genesis 39:2-3 NKJV ”The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did to prosper in his hand.“
