What an incredible journey of resurrection power it’s been these past few weeks of “Your Passover” at Rhema South Coast Family Church. I trust that, like me, you’ve felt the tangible presence of our Father, the one who loves us beyond measure. We’ve witnessed lives transformed, hearts set ablaze, and a fresh outpouring of God’s Spirit. From the Encounter Weekend to the powerful altar calls, it’s clear: His resurrection power is alive and well in us today.
Because Jesus lives, we can live again — and live abundantly!
This past Sunday, we reached a powerful crescendo as Ps Larry looked into the very heart of our faith: the power of resurrection.
The Empty Tomb – The Wellspring of Our Hope
In Philippians 3:10, Paul writes:
“That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection…”
This isn’t just a nice phrase. It’s a life-altering truth!
The sermon, drawing from Luke 24 and Philippians 3:10, reminded us of the earth-shattering truth that Jesus’ resurrection wasn’t just a historical event; it’s the living, breathing source of our power today. As that deeply moving video clip illustrated, because He lives, we too shall live! Where sin and death once reigned, Christ’s victory has ushered in a new dawn of righteousness and unending hope.
Ps Larry reminded us: because He conquered death, you have the right to live free, dream bigger, and step boldly into your God-given destiny. So don’t hold back! Ask God for BIG things. Your future is bright because of the cross.
Forget what’s behind and press on — your resurrection life is waiting!
Paul’s words, penned from a prison cell, resonate through the ages: “That I may know Him and the power of His resurrection.” He wasn’t just talking about intellectual knowledge, but an intimate, experiential knowing – the kind that sets your soul on fire and empowers you to walk in the same authority as our Lord Jesus.
Don’t Forget! | The Riches of Knowing Christ
Now, Paul gives us a stark warning: Don’t you dare forget the magnitude of what you have in Christ! It’s so easy to slip back into old habits, to be swayed by the world’s empty promises. Paul urges us to keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the ultimate prize, the surpassing worth of our lives.
🔥 Real discipleship isn’t forced — it’s your free, joyful choice!
Like Billy Graham’s experience in Japan poignantly illustrated, we can’t just “add Jesus” to our lives like another knick-knack. He is the CENTERPIECE!
Because of Jesus’ Resurrection Power | Your Inheritance
This power of resurrection isn’t some far-off concept; it’s your inheritance, beloved! It manifests in:
- Increased Favor: God’s amazing grace liberates us, empowering us to overcome weaknesses and walk in His strength.
- Unfathomable Love: When you truly grasp God’s love for you, you’re set free from the need for worldly validation, and you can live a selfless life.
- Unshakeable Faith: Resurrection power cultivates a faith that trusts in God’s faithfulness daily, enabling you to love Him and love others with abandon.
Paul, in Philippians 3:4-9, lays out his impressive credentials – his heritage, his religious zeal. Yet, he counts it all as rubbish, as “poo,” for the surpassing joy of knowing Christ Jesus our Lord! What a radical surrender! What a powerful example!
The Church | God’s Masterpiece
Ps Larry was very clear. Let’s get this straight: the church, our church, wasn’t man’s idea. It’s God’s divine plan, and we, the believers, are endued with power from on high to carry His message of hope to a world desperately in need. Like those disciples on the road to Emmaus, we encounter Jesus, our hearts burn within us, and we’re compelled to go and tell the good news!

Discipleship | Our Calling
This brings us to our core calling: discipleship. We’re called to win others, consolidate them in the faith, disciple them to become like Christ, and send them out to do the same. It’s a lifestyle, not just a Sunday service!
- Win souls.
- Consolidate them into the faith.
- Disciple others.
- Send them out into the world with power!
This is not just a series — it’s a movement. Are you living out the power of resurrection in your daily walk? Are you actively discipling others?
A Glimpse of the Future
My friends, God is not finished with you! He has a blessed destiny for you, an upward calling! But we need to press on, to lay hold of all that He has for us, forgetting what lies behind and straining towards what lies ahead.
If you missed the service or want to relive the anointing, you can catch it here.
A Heartfelt Prayer 🩸
Father, I thank you for the power of resurrection that courses through our veins. I pray that every member of Rhema South Coast would experience this power in a tangible way. May we not rely on our own strength or achievements, but on your boundless grace and love.
Stir up a passion within us to disciple others, to see lives transformed, and to build your kingdom here on the South Coast and beyond.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Stay blessed. Remember, you are the hope of the world!
