Hello again, Rhema South Coast Family! While Ps Larry is in Gabon on a G12 discipleship trip, Ps Mandy stood before us on 29 June 2025 to launch our new series, The Blood Applied. She reminded us that Jesus’ blood isn’t just ancient history—it impacts our lives today.
In this recap, we look through her key points, dwell on the blood from Jesus’ feet, and learn how to apply this covenant power to our everyday struggles.
The Heart of the Covenant | Why Blood?
First, Ps Mandy grounded us in Scripture. From Genesis to Revelation, blood signifies life, atonement, and relationship with God. She pointed us to:
- Genesis 15:8–21, where Abraham’s animal sacrifice sealed God’s promise.
- Leviticus 17:11, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood… it is the blood that makes atonement.”
Then, she pressed home this truth: all Old Testament sacrifices merely foreshadowed Christ’s perfect offering. While animal blood covered sin temporarily, it never removed it. Therefore, God promised something greater—the blood of His own Son.
Christ’s Perfect Sacrifice | New Covenant Established
As we sat together, Ps Mandy reminded us of the Last Supper’s momentous words:
“This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.” (Matthew 26:28)
She invited us to imagine those disciples hearing Jesus speak life and forgiveness into their cups. Moreover, Ephesians 1:7 declares:
“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of His grace.”
Because of this, we no longer approach God through animal offerings. Instead, we enter His presence with confidence ( Hebrews 10:19–22 ). As Ps Mandy said, “Jesus’ blood didn’t just cover sin — it washed it away forever.”
The Blood from Jesus’ Feet | Walking in Sacrifice and Power
Now, here is a moment that should move us all. Imagine the blood streaming from Jesus’ feet as He trudged toward Calvary! Ps Mandy painted two vivid pictures for us to relate to:
Humility in His Steps
- Jesus started in Gethsemane, fully God yet fully human. As He walked, He bore immense agony. His bruised and bloodied feet symbolized His willingness to humble Himself completely for our sake.
- “But He was wounded for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, and with His stripes we are healed.”
(Isaiah 53:5)
Power on the Move
- During His ministry, Jesus’ feet carried Him into dusty villages and bustling towns. In each place, He brought healing and hope:
“And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every disease and every infirmity.”
(Matthew 9:35) - See your own feet as carriers of that same power. As we step out in faith, we walk in the authority of His blood.
John 12:26 tells us more of what the Lord wants from us:
“If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me… and where I am, there shall My servant be also.”
Therefore, by reflecting on the blood from His feet, we embrace both His sacrifice and our call—to walk humbly and serve sacrificially.
From Doctrine to Daily Life | Applying the Blood
Knowing these truths transforms nothing unless we put them into practice. Accordingly, Ps Mandy offered a simple, three‑step process:
Acknowledge the Victory
Each morning, pause and thank Jesus for His finished work. Remind yourself: “His blood has already secured my victory.”
Declare the Blood Aloud
Speak with boldness. For example: “In the name of Jesus, I apply His blood over my health, finances, and family.” Ps Mandy emphasized that half‑hearted whispers won’t do—the enemy only flees when we stand firm in our authority.
Walk Forward in Faith
Take action on God’s promises. If you need healing, schedule that doctor’s visit and then speak God’s Word. If you need breakthrough in relationships, step out in forgiveness as His blood has forgiven you.
Covenant Identity | Who We Are Because of His Blood
Because of the blood of Jesus, we are no longer who we once were. His sacrifice redefined everything—our past, our position, and our purpose. Ps Mandy reminded us that the blood gives us identity, authority, and access to God’s promises. It’s not just theology—it’s deeply personal. It’s spiritual. It’s powerful.
We’re Forgiven
The blood doesn’t just cover sin—it removes it. Ps Mandy taught from Romans 8:1, “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
When the Father looks at us, He doesn’t see our failures—He sees the perfect blood of Jesus. Every accusation the enemy throws at you is silenced by the blood. You can come boldly before God, washed, restored, and free from shame.
“The blood speaks a better word over your life—grace instead of guilt, forgiveness instead of failure.”
We’re Protected
Sometimes, in life, we face moments of intense, unseen pressure. You’re in a situation where everything feels chaotic, your mind is racing, and you don’t know which way to turn. It’s in these moments, when you feel powerless and confused, that you can turn to a powerful spiritual declaration.
Example: Imagine you’re facing a critical deadline at work, and every attempt to focus is met with a wave of distraction, self-doubt, and a looming sense of failure. You feel a tightness in your chest, your thoughts are scattered, and panic starts to set in.
In that moment, you can pause, take a deep breath, and declare: “I plead the blood of Jesus over my mind. I apply the blood of Jesus over this situation, and I take authority over it now. I speak peace, clarity, and focus into this task.”
This isn’t about magical words; it’s about invoking a profound spiritual principle of protection and overcoming, bringing a sense of calm and empowerment when you feel most vulnerable.
“Demons have to flee when you plead the blood,” Ps Mandy reminded us. “You’ve been given authority—use it!”
As believers, we don’t fight for victory—we fight from victory. The blood secures us.
We’re Empowered
Quoting Philippians 4:19, Ps Mandy declared, “And my God shall supply all your needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Whether it’s healing, financial provision, strength in hard times, or peace in the chaos—His blood has already secured it. It’s our job to apply it, declare it, and walk in it.
We don’t beg for scraps. We’re part of the family, and our inheritance is already paid for in blood.
“Everything you need is in the covenant. You are not powerless—you are blood-covered and Spirit-filled.”
We’re Adopted
One of the most beautiful truths in Scripture is that we are no longer orphans. Through the blood, we are sons and daughters of the Most High God.
We have access.–We have intimacy–We have identity.
Ps Mandy explained that in ancient Israel, when someone’s beard was ripped out—like what Jesus endured—it was meant to disfigure identity.
But when the blood flowed from Jesus’ face, it restored what was stolen. That means if you’re walking through rejection, insecurity, or confusion about your purpose, you can plead the blood over your identity.
“You are not what happened to you. You are not what they said about you. You are who the blood says you are—a child of the King.”
We’ve been grafted into sonship, joint heirs with Christ, and we reign with Him. This truth reshapes how we live—with confidence, boldness, and gratitude.
Ps Mandy challenged us:
“Live like kingdom citizens—because you truly are!”
When we understand our covenant identity, we stop reacting like victims and start responding like victors. So this week, apply the blood. Declare it over your family. Walk in it. And remember who you are—because of whose you are.
