Jesus is the cure – for the ache you don’t have words for, the guilt you can’t shake, and the battles you’re tired of fighting. If your heart’s heavy, you’re not alone; God is closer than your next breath.
Sunday was electric. From the first song, vibrant worship filled the room and faith rose. As Ps Mandy led corporate prayer, you could feel the Holy Spirit moving – softening hearts and stirring expectation for the Word.
Joyce Meyer once said, “Jesus will heal you everywhere it hurts.”
That landed like medicine for the soul because it’s exactly what Jesus does – He cures us at the root, not only the symptoms.
Enoch walked with God, no more…
Ps Larry took us to Genesis 5:24: “Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.” The point? When you truly walk with God, some things become “no more”: no more shame, settling, no more old chains calling the shots.
But how do we walk well? First, God shows us our mess – not to condemn us, but to transform us. As 1 Thessalonians 5:23 says, God sanctifies us wholly—(spirit, soul and body)—so our whole life is preserved in Him. That conviction is kindness; it’s how He grows us.
Spirit, soul, body – why it matters
You are a three-part being. Your spirit is the real you – the part that comes alive when you’re born again and can connect with God.
The soul (mind, will, emotions) is distinct from your spirit and is where you choose, feel and decide. Your body houses both and engages the world through the five senses – the very arena the enemy often targets.
God’s intention isn’t that we just “cope” but that we contain Him and carry Him into every space—(home, work, campus)—until His life leaks out of us. That’s legacy, and you can’t build it without God.
Three ingredients for a fruitful walk
Grace. Faith. Good works. In that order.
Grace
Is God’s unearned favour and His empowering presence—(by the Spirit)—to overcome real challenges in a broken world.
It’s free, but it cost Jesus everything; it’s never an excuse to keep living stuck.
Faith
Is God’s gift that lets you take Him at His Word – even in a performance driven world. Faith works through love.
Good works
Are not a ladder to God; they’re your response to being saved living from approval, not for approval.
Paul nails the order in Ephesians 2: “By grace you have been saved through faith… not of works… created in Christ Jesus for good works.” Grace saves; faith receives; works follow.
Ps Larry even gave us a picture: faith is the conduit for grace – like water flowing through a pool noodle. Stop hustling for approval. Receive grace, exercise faith, then let your life display good works as worship.
How the Spirit changes us – from the inside out
Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there’s freedom. As we turn to the Lord, the veil lifts; beholding His glory, we’re transformed into His image, from glory to glory. Not by might or striving, but by the Spirit.
Picture concentric circles: God regenerates your spirit at new birth; then His life spreads into your soul—renewing your thoughts, desires and decisions; and finally He quickens your body, changing outward habits and relationships. The ripple flows from spirit → soul → body → the world around you.
That’s why Christianity isn’t a superficial checklist. It’s a total heart-and-mind renovation that spills over into community—bearing the fruit of the Spirit and moving us towards Jesus’ mission.
Let the blessing work through you
Be full of Him so you can express Him. Let the blessing be fruitful, multiply, fill, subdue and lead – first in you, then through you. As Christ “leaks” out of your life, relationships get healthier, courage rises, and purpose grows.

One last encouragement – Get Smart!
Maybe you’ve been trying to fix life on your own. Get smart – lean into the One who made everything. Jesus is the cure, and He’s close. Today can be the day some things become no more.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, thank You for Your grace.
Fill my spirit, renew my soul and quicken my body. I choose to walk with You – no more shame, fear, and no more settling. Help me live from Your approval and overflow Your love into every relationship.
Its in Jesus name I pray
Amen.
